Zabu is the pet Smilodon of Ka-Zar who hails from the Savage Land.

New Warriors[]
Zabu was captured by Kraven the Hunter and Taskmaster in order to persuade Ka-Zar to join them and to perform a ritual to make Kraven immortal that needed the heart of a Saber-tooth tiger.
He was brought to New York and was rescued by Spider-Man and Ka-Zar. He and Ka-Zar joined the New Warriors at S.H.I.E.L.D and helped defeat the escaped villains.
