A Symbiote is a living organism created from Spider-Man's DNA that can attach itself to a human host to form an almost unstoppable weapon.

Physical appearance

Symbiotes are usually creatures of an amorphous nature, taking on the form of a semi-solid appearance, similar to that of goo. They also come in a variety of different colors, ranging from black and white like Venom or Anti-Venom and even the colors of red and black like Carnage.

Once bonded to a host, symbiotes take on the form of a monstrous appearance which have eyes, similarly shaped to that of Spider-Man's mask, but with a moving mouth and teeth.

Trivia

  • Through out the seasons, the symbiote was introduced in new forms: Venom (Season 1 and 3), Carnage (Season 2 and 4), Agent Venom (Season 3) and Anti-Venom (Season 4).
  • In the comics and most media, Symbiotes are actually a race of parastic aliens called the Klyntar, which bond to and provide immense strength to their hosts, all the while draining the life of them in the process.
