Spider-Man 2099 is a Spider-Man from an alternate universe in the year 2099 and protector of 2099's New York City.
History
The Spider-Verse Part 1
Spider-Man meets Spider-Man and thinks him to be an impostor at first, stating that Peter doesn't even know the person he's 'impersonating'. He states that the Spider-Man is a Legend in his timeline.
After encountering the Green Goblin, he and Peter work together to beat Goblin but ultimately fail, and Goblin flees after successfully taking some of Miguel's blood. To keep predecessor and successor busy, he blasts a tower, making it collapse to the ground. Miguel and Peter then merge their webs to hold the tower steady. Miguel bids farewell to 'The' Spider-Man, wishing him the best for his mission.
The Spider-Verse Part 4
Spider-Man uses the Siege Perilous through Electro to open a portal that summons all of the alternate Spider-Men (Girl and Pig) to his universe, Spider-Man 2099 included, forming the Web-Warriors. The Web Warriors engage Spider-Goblin, an arachnid-esque transformation of the Green Goblin caused by injecting himself with the Web-Warriors' collective blood samples turned into a serum. The battle is lengthy and climactic, but with help from Electro, the Warriors manage to turn Goblin back into Norman Osborn. However, the victory is cut short when Electro takes control of the Heli-Carrier, transforming it into a massive weaponized mech. Miguel and his fellow Spider-Men continue the battle against the transformed Helicarrier, and after the efforts of Spider-Girl and Spider-Ham, the Helicarrier takes off into the sky and self-destructs. With the remainder of the Siege Perilous' energy, Spider-Man opens up portals back to each of the Warriors' dimensions, to which they jump in and return home. Before leaving, Miguel thanks Peter for helping them become "better Spideys". [1]
Equipment
UMF Spider-Suit: Spider-Man wears a hi-tech suit made of UMF/Unstable Molecules which make it practically indestructible to any form of common material, at least in the time in which Peter Parker lives. The UMF material is a standard in 2099.
The suit has two sharp claws on each arm for aiding in combat. Spider-Man probably wears a Utility-Belt on his waist as well.
