Scorpio (real name Max Fury) is the leader of the Zodiac and the brother of Nick Fury.

History

20th Century

At some point he had come to hate his brother and formed his own terrorist organization called Zodiac.

21st Century

Scorpio and his Zodiac soldiers had taken over the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. Scorpio captured Spider-Man when he arrived on the Helicarrier. Scorpio stated that was the beginning of Zodiac's new order, as he tried to convince Spider-Man that Fury was a liar and claimed that he was dead. Scorpio ordered his soldiers to destroy Spider-Man. When Spider-Man fell into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Scorpio ordered his soldiers to find Spider-Man. Scorpio ordered Aries to download the files and then set the Helicarrier to self-destruct. Upon hearing Spider-Man's voice in the air vents, the Zodiac soldiers fired on Spider-Man. Scorpio then used the Scorpio Key to attack Spider-Man only for him to escape into the air vents. Upon learning that Spider-Man is at the topside, Scorpio sent the Zodiac soldiers to Spider-Man. After Fury activated the dive mode of the Helicarrier into the river, Scorpio fought against him. after Upon Spider-Man confiscating the Scorpio Key, Nick defeated Scorpio and discovered that it was his brother Max Fury. Scorpio escaped into the water, which after Nick deactivated the self-destruct sequence.

The Parent Trap

Nick Fury alongside Phil Coulson, Spider-Man, Power-Man & numerous S.H.I.E.L.D Troops attack Scorpio's secret base to steal the Zodiac Key and the new Super-soldier serum being developed there. On mission, Luke Cage discovers that Scorpio had his parents, former S.H.I.E.L.D scientist lead the project. After A lenghty struggle between Power-man's parents, Spider-Man and Power-Man, Scorpio manages to inject himself with the Super-soldier serum gaining various superhuman powers that are similar to, but are more advanced version of, Power-Man's powers. Power-Man & Spider-Man manage to defeat him, de-power his Power-Scorpio-Man powers and is arrested and taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Powers and Abilities

• Hand-to-Hand Combat: Max is able to fully utilize hand-to-hand combat very well, able to stand toe to toe against Nick Fury.

Formerly

• Defective Power-Man Serum: Through the defective Power-Man serum, his physical attributes increased dramatically.
  • Superhuman Muscle Mass: His muscle mass had expanded greatly & would continue to increase the more physical force / kinetic energy he absorbed.
  • Superhuman Strength: He had shown strength that equal's Power-Man & but after absorbing too much Kinetic Energy, his strength increased drastically.
  • Superhuman Durability: He was as durable as Power-Man & was almost impenetrable by any weapon.

Equipment

• Zodiac Key: Scorpio uses it in his combat to destroy his foes. It is able to shoot a large laser blast that is able to damage the Helicarrier.
