Plot[]

First Story - Notes From Underground![]

After picking up a new book shelf for his Aunt May, Peter Parker is forced to take the subway home when he finds that his webbing cannot support the shelf's weight. As Peter observes the other passengers on his subway car (consisting of two old women, a pregnant woman and a man (Who had just got out of prison.)), the subway suddenly crashes. The passengers complain and Peter is forced to change into Spider-Man in the darkness. Spider-Man helps the other passengers out of the crashed car and begins to lead them to safety. They find that the subway has collapsed. While wandering the tunnels, Spider-Man and the passengers run into the mole creatures called Moloids. The creatures attack but Spider-Man fights them off and gives the passengers time to escape through another tunnel. They suddenly run into the creatures' leader, a man who reveals himself to be Mole Man. He reveals that he didn't dig the tunnel but giant Mole monster pet before ordering it to eat Spider-Man. Spider-Man fights the Mole monster, while the passengers are able to hold their own against the Mole Man's smaller creature minions. Spider-Man tricks the Mole monster into shocking itself with an electrical line which supposedly kills it. Mole Man attacks Spider-Man but he is easily defeated. After the creatures retreat with Mole Man, the passengers thank Spider-Man for inspiring them to stand up against the creatures. One of the passengers suddenly starts going into labour. The next day after returning home, Peter pretends that he lost the shelf for Aunt May. Spider-Man's adventure appears in the Daily Bugle under the headline "Subway Baby."

Second Story - "Look Ma, No Webs!"[]

Spider-Man and White Tiger foil a bank robbery, but Spider-Man accidentally blows up the bank's room. White Tiger chastises Spider-Man for his over reliance on his tech (in this case, his "concussion webs"). They then get a call from Nick Fury, who informs them that Spymaster is on the loose at Kimball Field, in possession of a stolen mutant growth hormone from Stark Industries. Leaving White Tiger to clean up the mess at the bank, Spider-Man grabs his ("shudder") Spider-Cycle and heads to the field. When Spider-Man arrives, Director Fury informs him that Spymaster is trying to escape on one of the many hot air balloons floating over the field. White Tiger contacts about needing to back him up but he insists that he has it under control and cuts her off. Spider-Man hitches a ride onto a civilian's (George) balloon and eventually spots the Spymaster. Unfortunately for Spider-Man, Spymaster shoots the balloon and Spider-Man realizes that he's now out of web fluid. Forced to improvise, Spider-Man uses a hook on a rope to attach it to Spymaster's balloon. He along with George swings to Spymaster's balloon and orders him to surrender the mutant growth hormone. Spymaster instead drops it and jumps out the balloon to fly away and grabbing the mutant growth hormone in the process. Spider-Man eventually is able to take down the Spymaster by jumping on him and making him fly into a jumbo-tron, all without using his tech. White Tiger is pleased that he did it without his tech which he complains about it not being natural.
