Physical appearance[]
Batroc has a black thin mustache and a pointy beard on his chin. he wears a special purple and yellow suit, mechanical leaping legs[1]
Personality[]
Batroc has a tendency to underestimate his opponents, and has a obsession to leap even saying the word "leap", while he leaps. He also speaks a French accent.[1]
History[]
Batroc, the Leaper was one of the villains Spider-Man faced in his first year of superhero career. He is so off the radar than even S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't have a real file on him and all that is known about him is that "he is French and he leaps".
Season 1[]
Doomed![]
Batroc the Leaper makes a cameo on a card when Spider-Man reminds his team (consisting himself, White Tiger, Iron Fist, Power Man and Nova) that he has been catching villains for a year. Batroc is also seen on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Most Wanted list.
Why I Hate Gym[]
Batroc is being chased by Spider-Man who is on his Spider-Cycle. Spider-Man uses a web to catch Batroc's leg while commenting that his suckatude knows no bounds but Batroc keeps leaping until he makes Spider-Man crash into a billboard. Batroc jokes about the "bug" going splat but Spider-Man jumps on him and kicks him away. White Tiger then appears to get Spider-Man back to S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ for training but Spider-Man believes that B-listers like Batroc are good training and that she shouldn't be official. This proves him wrong when Batroc kicks him away while joking about a boot in the face. White Tiger tries to catch him but he avoids her. He jumps and head butts Spider-Man into a jumbo screen. White Tiger decides to prove her point on training by having Batroc chase her before she uses her electric claws to destroy a water tower causing Batroc to leap into a Spider-Man's web and crash into the same jumbo screen. Batroc is taken to prison.
Back In Black[]
In Spider-Man's daydream, in which Mary Jane went to the movies with him only for various super-villains like Batroc to surround them in the theater. She then questioned his reasoning for telling everyone his secret identity.
Venomous[]
After Batroc commits another crime of stealing jewelry, he heads into an alleyway but unknown to him, he is stalked by a shadowy figure. After kissing the bag of loot, he is too late to see the shadowy figure punch him. He doesn't see it disappear behind him until he again is too late to see it kick him. He leaps at it but it isn't there. It kicks him again until he finally sees it and mistakes it for Spider-Man. He tries hitting it with the bag but it dodges and jumps behind him before kicking him. He leaps at it but it easily punches him to the ground. They fight with the black figure punching at him but Batroc dodges before finally punching it. Unfortunately, the figure punches him harder into a wall and dropping the loot. Batroc decides to surrender while admitting his defeat and handing the loot over. However, Batroc suddenly becomes nervous and tells "Spider-Man" to hand him over to the proper authorities. However, the figure reveals himself to be Venom (Harry Osborn having bonded with the Venom symbiote) who tells him that he won't this time before brutally beating him. At the Parker House, when Peter Parker comes down stairs and he and Aunt May hear on the news about Batroc's beating, as J. Jonah Jameson bad mouths the wall-crawler.

A while later, during the blackout created by Electro, Batroc used this as an opportunity to steal from people trapped on the Brooklyn Bridge. The team who are trying to stop Electro are surprised by his arrival. He kicks White Tiger down and jumps on Nova. This annoys the team about not having time for him. Batroc steal things like a suitcase, handbags, phones and even a baby's dummy. He is then sees the team and Spider-Man tries to shoot web at him but then remembers that Electro has taken all the power from his Web-Shooters. This gives Batroc the advantage to kick him. Nova flies at him but Batroc ducks before Iron Fist attacks him by trying to punch him but he keeps dodging. He kicks Iron Fist down and tries to crush him on a car but misses. Nova flies at him again but Batroc leaps onto another car to make Nova crash into Iron Fist. White Tiger leaps at him but he leaps on her before Power Man attacks him but Batroc kicks him away. This annoys Spider-Man about their lack of communication with Nova reminding him of hyper-charged Electro and Spider-Man reminds him that he didn't help him. The people of New York continue to throw food at the team and this gives Batroc the advantage to escape while stealing a pearl necklace in the process. After robbing a jewelry store, Batroc believes that he commited "The Crime of the Century" before he sees that Electro has hacked into the new Daily Bugle sattelites, he tells everyone to kneel before his true power which annoys Batroc. Spider-Man then grabs Batroc's attention by speaking French before asking if he pronounced "excuse me" right because he takes Spanish in class. He fires web at him but misses and before Batroc can get away, he is trapped by White Tiger and Power Man. This gives Nova the advantage to throw Iron Fist to have him punch Batroc, knocking him out. Spider-Man chases him again before the fight until Spider-Man uses a trash can to knock him out. The New Yorkers even attack Spider-Man due to their believing of Jameson's claims about him being a menace. This gives Batroc teh advantage to knock Spider-Man down while idiotacally taunting that he robbed the bank while he is the one everybody hates. Spider-Man webs up his mouth and knocks him into a building while telling him that he is the big doofus. Deciding that enough is enough, he webs Batroc up and leaves him for the police.
Stan By Me[]

Sandman Returns[]
After learning that S.H.I.E.L.D. is trying to redeem and train Sandman, Spider-Man imagines Batroc with other villains in group therapy with Doctor Doom blasting Batroc after he offers him a tissue and saying that he has trust issues. Sandman is then fitted with a containment suit which helps him keep his thoughts and stable. While working with Spider-Man, Sandman offers him to watch a baseball game until their moment is interrupted with Batroc who is stealing. Before Sandman can attack, Spider-Man tells him to stay calm and that anyone can take down Batroc. Unfortunately, Sandman just goes to take on Batroc. He calls out to him and he attacks him but Batroc dodges and makes fun of him which causes Sandman to starts losing his temper. Spider-Man tries to get him to stop before Sandman angrily asks him why and Spider-Man reveals that Director Fury doesn't give third chances. Sandman is angry about how things are working out and Spider-Man assures him that he just wants to see him win and to choose a better way. They are alerted again that there is a robbery at the phone shop. They find Batroc stealing phones and aswering them in the process. Spider-Man jokes to Batroc that the next Stark Phone isn't out for months and tackles him before Batroc kicks him off. He keeps leaping over Power Man and Squirrel Girl before hitting them away. After knocking Spider-Man away, he fights Squirrel Girl but easily knocks her away before Power Man grabs him but Batroc pushes into phone package and kicking him. Squirrel Girl suggests calling for help but Spider-Man refuses. After he keeps leaping, Spider-Man gains Batroc's attention by calling him "Batty" and webs his eyes while teling to "Look Before You Leap". This causes Batroc to trip and after ripping the web off his eyes, Power Man defeats him by puching him into phone packages which shocks him. Suddenly, Batroc becomes confused by this and Spider-Man tries to remind him about what happened. Batroc reveals that he would never steal phones in which Power Man agrees because phones are kind of cheap for his usual tastes. Doctor Octopus informs them that this is not a trick but a challenge. He informs them that he is reforming the Sinister Six backed by the resources of HYDRA, there will be no stopping them. He tells them that their mission is simple: they should find Spider-Man and the one who brings him captured will be the first to join the Sinister Six with Kraven accepting the challenge. The Ultimate Spider-Man appears to him, which confuses Batroc who demands to know who he is. The Ultimate Spider-Man jokes about the name "Captain Tangled Web" striking fear into his heart. After joking around, he asks Batroc where he stands and Batroc angirly reveals that he does not stand but leap. Before the Ultimate Spider-Man can comment on anything, Batroc attacks him by kicking at him towards the craters but keeps missing. The Ultimate Spider-Man claims that he is a joke, which makes an infuriated Batroc push a button on his gauntlet which changes his costume and appearance into an armored costume thus revealing that Doctor Octopus has upgraded him and that he is one of the recruits for the new Sinister Six. He kicks at the crate but the Ultimate Spider-Man moves. They continue fighting until the Ultimate Spider-Man slide kicks him down and before he can shock him, Spider-Man uses his webs to prevent him (due to him being overprotective of the Ultimate Spider-Man). While walking to the Ultiamte Spider-Man, he asks if the hero wants a name and decides it should be "Squished". While not looking and laughing, he discovers that the Ultimate Spider-Man has disappeared and turned invisible. The Ultimate Spider-Man uses one of Batroc's mechanical legs to throw him down while revealing his invisibilaty power and his stingers. He then proceeds to shock Batroc into unconsciousness. Batroc is then taken by Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider to prison, thus making Doctor Octopus lose a valuable recruit for the Sinister Six.

Batroc is only mentioned when Spider-Man and Captain America battle Hulk who bonded with the revived Carnage symbiote in which Spider-Man wishes that Batroc should've bonded with the symbiote instead of Hulk.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Peak-Human Condition: His physical abilities, particularly his agility, reflexes, coordination, balance and equilibrium, are far beyond that of normal humans. It is his Mechanical Leaping Legs and uniform that allow him to perform truly superhuman feats of mobility. It also enhances his fighting capabilities, allowing him to not only use his opponent's momentum against them, but also have enhanced strength in his blows, especially his kicks. This makes him able to fight superhumans, such as Spider-Man, on nearly equal grounds. Also, he is durable enough to survive blows from superhuman's and seemingly fatal impacts without injury. [1]
